Canada
Canada is undeniably a beautiful land that offers a plethora of possibilities for a fun getaway. No matter what kind of vacation you wish, Canada will deliver. Each city has something unique to give travelers. From the challenging mountain ranges to a thriving art scene, the cities of Canada have it all. No other place blends metropolitan culture with the grandeur of nature as well as Canada.
Toronto is the largest city in Canada, and draws plenty of tourists for the famous CN Tower. This tower is the world's tallest building, being 533.3 meters high. Toronto is also home to the world's longest street, Yonge Street, which runs 1,896 kilometers. This city does not only break records with its structures, but is also considered a global city due to its success in economics and business. Given all these, you might picture Toronto as a place with nothing but bustling streets that go around towering skyscrapers. But actually, despite its metropolitan success, you'll be surprised at how relaxing a trip to Toronto can be.
After climbing up the CN Tower and getting a breathtaking look of the city and beyond, head to the Beaches. This neighborhood offers so much for the traveler who seeks to relax and unwind. There are plenty of spots for you to enjoy nature's splendor, most of which are in the waterfront facing the great Lake Ontario. Nothing is more peaceful than watching the expanse of the calm waters and feeling the cool breeze soothe your skin. R.C. Harris Water Filtration Plant has a lot of space for a classic picnic at the park. If you want to view the lake on a bike, then do so on the Boardwalk! If you visit the Beaches at the right time, you just might catch a fabulous concert or festival at Kew Beach Gardens.
There is also Toronto Islands, where there are trails, picnic areas and beaches! Canada proves to be a cradle of a flourishing urban lifestyle and well-preserved natural environment.
Move to Vancouver and you'll discover even more of Canada's beauty. You cannot miss to make a stop at Gastown, which is the oldest neighborhood in the City. In here you'll get to enjoy antique shops and beautiful architecture. There are also plenty of theaters in the Entertainment District where you can indulge in Vancouver's local art and talent. Of course, you cannot miss a trip to Stanley Park, which is another of Canada's world records. This is largest urban park in the world! Aside from lush green grass, there are also hiking trails, rainforests, lagoons and beaches!
For those who crave more challenging activities, Vancouver is surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges. The mountains are usually popular during winter as ski sites. But during the warm weathers, it would be fun to bike, hike, or simply tour these majestic mountains. Canada reaches the sky not only with the towering buildings but also with beautiful mountains.
If you're looking for a more culturally enriching experience, Canada has Montreal for you. This is home to plenty of talented performers including various orchestras and the Montreal-based Cirque du Soleil. Catch the Jazz Festival if you wish to delve into the soulful tunes of great jazz musicians. Calgary also has a lot of music festivals so if you're up for partying with the locals along with some great music, head to either Calgary or Montreal.
And of course, you must see the overwhelming grandeur of the Niagara Falls. You've seen it in pictures but you never know how fascinating this site is until you get real close and hear the thundering crash of the heavy waters. Wait until the sky gets dark and watch the falls get painted with candy colors. The lights and fireworks shows make this natural wonder a sight to marvel at even at night.
